Presentation Summary: This workshop will examine Fundraising in Black, the first-ever e-learning platform, designed specifically for fundraisers, nonprofit leaders, and founders of color. It will examine how Fundraising in Black leverages technology at the intersection of fundraising and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), to provide training in fundraising best practices, tactics, and strategies for fundraisers, nonprofit leaders, and founders of color.
The workshop will examine Fundraising in Black's culturally relevant fundraising pedagogy, which is trauma-informed and rich in conceptual knowledge of fund development and fundraising. Lastly, the session will share a case study on the impact of the organization's inaugural partnerships over the last twelve months with a state university, private philanthropy funders, and over 30 nonprofit organizations.
Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn how "Fundraising in Black" leveraged technology, AI, and DEI principles to create the first-ever culturally relevant fundraising learning platform for nonprofit leaders, founders, and fundraisers of color.
Participants will discover Fundraising in Black's trauma-informed and culturally relevant learning pedagogy, which is rich in conceptual fundraising knowledge and delivered in an affirming environment.
Participants will examine a case study on Fundraising in Black’s launch and pilot initiative with a state university, three institutional donors, and over 30 nonprofits led by and serving people of color nationwide.
