Presentation Summary: Strategic shifts in methodology and mission risk upending your fundraising efforts, but they don’t have to! Come and join us for a lively, interactive, and collaborative session where we’ll focus on how you can successfully steward donors and secure major gifts during significant organizational change.
We’ll review with you Global Witness’ fundraising experience during a substantial shift in organizational strategy and focus. We’ll discuss with you what the challenges have been, what challenges are ongoing, and what has worked well to get us through this delicate process — which could have significantly impacted our revenue. And throughout this session, where we’ll share our learnings with you and identify best practices, we want to hear from you, especially if you’ve gone through, or are about to embark on, this challenging journey.
This will be more than a mere presentation; it will be a conversation. And by the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of how to reposition your organization publicly while maintaining and growing relationships with major donors.
Some of the key themes we’ll explore with you include trends within the philanthropy space (e.g. a shift towards climate and environmental interests), the importance of a healthy balance between restricted and unrestricted income, and how working in partnership with others in the space is vital to building support.
