Presentation Summary: See Change. Change the world. Using space-based Earth imaging to enable better real-time decisions. During this closing keynote, Dr. Mark Mozena will provide insights into how Planet (the world’s largest Earth imaging company) uses their constellation of over 200 satellites to scan the world every day and enable real-time data-based decision making. Be it to help scientists understand the world, disaster management officials to detect and monitor events, farmers more effectively monitor and care for their crops, government regulators to understand corporate compliance, national security professionals and media to monitor world events, or human rights groups to monitor an evolving international conflict zone, imagery from satellites in space enable a clearer, real-time understanding of our world. Nonprofit missions across the country and the globe use this imagery and the analytics derived from the imagery to more effectively understand evolving environments and more effectively use resources to advance their missions.
