Presentation Summary: Following up on 2023’s popular session, we’re back with a new, more expansive view of how the language we choose influences the decisions donors make. Over the last two years, O'Brien Garrett (OG) and our clients have taken a deep dive into the mounds of text that we both produce and receive from donors. Now we’ve expanded our analysis beyond just OG clients to a wider range of organizations, with even more types of data. Using targeted AI technology, we have uncovered some clear patterns of language that drive fundraising success in fundraising. In this session, we’ll share the findings of our agency-wide analysis as well as the findings from a client-specific case, the Natural Resources Defense Council.
