Larry Kent has been part of the Boys & Girls Clubs Movement for 29 years. He served at the local community level for 16 years in various roles, including Operations Director and CEO, within rural, urban and native communities. He joined Boys & Girls Clubs of America national organization in 2011 and has served as a Director of Organizational Development and a Director of Government Relations. As Senior Director of Government Relations he leads a team of 4 consultants and 5 contracted grant writers, with a key focus to increase funding and local government partnerships at Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. In the last 5 years his team has helped double the funding local Clubs receive from 21st. Century Community Learning Centers Grants, taking them from $54M to $110M annually. Last year alone his team was able to help secure $80.1M in grants for local Boys & Girls Clubs from local, state and federal sources. Larry is an active member of his own community contributing as a volunteer and board member for Calvary Lutheran Church, Pathways Outdoor Ministry, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bemidji and Bike Bemidji.
