Dr. Memo Diriker, Director Emeritus, is the founder of the Business Economic and Community Outreach Network (BEACON) at Salisbury University. He is currently serving as the Board Chair of TidalHealth, a regional health system and an Advisory Council member of the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. Previously he was on the boards of: Leadership Maryland (chair), PRMC Hospital (chair), Maryland Chamber of Commerce Foundation (chair), Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club (president), Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (president), American Marketing Association in Boston (president), and Network of International Business Schools (vice-president). Dr. Diriker is the recipient of many honors and awards including the Influential Marylander Award and the Maryland ICON award.
