Kesi Marcano serves as the National Director of Development for Individual and Major Gifts at Reach Out and Read. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive national strategy to grow individual giving revenues across the affiliated network over the next five years.
Prior to joining Reach out and Read, Kesi worked at several local and national nonprofits – most notably, the Communities In Schools National Office, the Bishop Walker School for Boys, and Bread for the World. She has also served as a consultant to organizations seeking to apply an equity lens to their philanthropy. Kesi’s fundraising career is fueled by her passion for supporting equitable programs that foster the academic potential of all children—regardless of socioeconomic status—with an emphasis on those creating lasting positive impacts in marginalized communities.
She has a wealth of experience in the nonprofit and private sectors, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland College Park and Global Campus, respectively.
