Angela Neal has over twenty years’ experience in issue advocacy. The majority of this time has been spent at AARP focusing on community organizing and grassroots advocacy serving first as Associate State Director for Community Outreach and then as Associate State Director of Advocacy for AARP New York. During her time in the New York office, Angela led the state-wide team in voter engagement and state/federal issue campaigns that encompassed managing volunteers and engaging activists through on-line tools, direct mail, automated calls and teletown halls.
Angela has spent the past fourteen years working at the AARP national office in Washington, DC managing the association’s advocacy fundraising and direct mail programs and collaborating on the association’s on-line advocacy program.
Angela holds a Masters Degree from the University of Albany and Certificates in Fundraising Management and Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Angela lives in upstate New York with her husband and two sons.
