Julie’s career spans more than 25 years in health and aging with experience in business development, strategic planning and management. She has a deep knowledge of the health care delivery system, health policy, and health product design.
Currently, Julie serves as Vice President, Business Operations and Initiatives at AARP’s Public Policy Institute where she oversees the development and management of its strategic programs and operations. She works closely with major foundations, for-profit and non-profit organizations, and coalitions to create and deliver impact and results in complex and diverse environments.
Julie has focused on integrating creativity and data throughout her health care career, which includes relationship marketing and digital innovation. As a senior executive in the health care delivery system, she acquired and built physician practice groups, managed major Medicare demonstration projects and developed new clinical services—including award-winning women’s health services. As a marketing executive, she worked with large insurers, pharmaceutical companies, and health care advocates focused on consumer health programs. Her direct-to-consumer experience is grounded in a deep understanding of data analytics and personalized marketing.
Julie graduated with honors from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and earned her MA from Johns Hopkins University.
