In her role as Chief Development Officer, Lacey Stone serves as USA for UNHCR’s lead fundraising strategist, providing visionary leadership to advance the organization’s mission and deliver an exemplary donor experience. Lacey oversees strategies that combine strategic partnership development and fundraising, driving the organization's global impact through private philanthropy, partnerships, direct response, donor care, and development operations.
Lacey has over 18 years of experience crafting cutting-edge campaigns, formulating successful development strategies, and securing transformational gifts. Previously, she excelled as the Senior Director of Partnerships, effectively mobilizing private sector support for the UN Refugee Agency in the United States. Lacey's journey to USA for UNHCR followed impactful leadership roles with UNICEF USA, PATH, and ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Her compassionate leadership style empowers her team, championing diversity and unity. Lacey's commitment to transparency, data-driven decisions, and forward-thinking truly embodies USA for UNHCR's core values.
Lacey earned her MA in International Relations from Villanova University, and she holds a dual BA in International Relations and Rhetoric and Communication from the University of Pittsburgh.
