Tracie Chandler (she/her) serves as the Associate Vice President of Human Resources (HR) and Quality Assurance (QA) for Methodist Home for Children/Methodist Services, a 144-year-old, non-profit social services organization in Philadelphia, PA. During her 10-year tenure as the HR and QA leader at Methodist, Tracie’s efforts have resulted in increased efficiencies in the onboarding program through digitization of processes and elimination of redundancies, increased compliance in audits, the addition of dynamic leadership trainings and professional development opportunities for employees, and increased engagement leading to improved morale and satisfaction. Additional areas of responsibility include leading the Safety Committee and organizational risk management initiatives, oversight of the incident reporting process, policy writing, functioning as the expert in HR law and COVID-19 for the organization and overseeing the benefits program. Additionally, Tracie’s role on the executive leadership team includes strategic planning and reporting to the board of directors. A recent and exciting initiative she has introduced to the organization focuses on integrating the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into the tapestry of the organization. Tracie’s messaging to leadership is that cultivating a work environment in which staff feel acknowledged, heard, appreciated, and safe (I.e., Belonging) results in improved employee performance, positive morale, increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, and retention.
Tracie received her bachelor’s degree in management from Temple University (1991) and her law degree from Temple University School of Law (1995).
