Michelle is Director of Development for The Salvation Army. She is responsible for Fundraising, Communications, Volunteers, and Disaster Services quick response. She has over 20 years direct fundraising experience. As an experienced non-profit executive with a demonstrated history as a development director and executive director working for several non-profits varying in size and budget. Michelle is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Coaching, Communication, Event Management, and Volunteer Management. She has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Speech Communications from University of Colorado and is a CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive). During her career she has over seen direct response programs for Florida Easter Seals, Jacksonville Zoo, American Red Cross (Jacksonville/ Silver Springs, MD), Habitat for Humanity, Montogomery County, Amputee Coalition and The Salvation Army. Michelle offers a perspective from different organizations that does/has done caging/cashiering in house and also uses/used an outsourced solution.
