Kate Kennedy is Chief Operating Officer at ArtsWave, the engine for Greater Cincinnati’s arts. Through gifts from tens of thousands of individuals and companies each year, ArtsWave supports 150+ organizations, artists and projects through funding, services and advocacy. She joined the ArtsWave team in 2012 and has been COO since 2018. Before coming to ArtsWave, Kate held fundraising roles at United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Smart Museum of Art at the University of Chicago, and the Greater Hartford Arts Council. In 2023 Kate was recognized as a winner in the COO category at the Cincinnati Business Courier C-Suite awards. Kate earned double bachelor’s degrees in Spanish language and arts administration from Butler University and a master’s degree in philanthropic studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
